Ralph Dawson

Ralph Dawson is an experienced procurement professional with a strong background in the aviation industry. Currently serving as a Procurement Portfolio Manager (Engineering) at Virgin Australia since August 2023, Ralph previously held the position of Category Manager for CapEx & Engineering Operations at Opal from September 2020 to August 2023. From April 2007 to July 2020, Ralph was Fleet Commercial Manager at Jetstar Airways, where significant contributions included leading projects for Engineering Contracts & Supply Chain related to the A321 NEO Entry Into Service and overseeing the negotiation of long-term contracts for various aircraft components. Earlier career roles included managing contracts and supply chains at Qantas and project engineering at Honeywell Aerospace Australia. Ralph holds MCIPS accreditation from the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply, a Graduate Certificate in Management from Deakin University, and a Bachelor of Engineering from Swinburne University of Technology.
