Steven Dsouza

Steven Dsouza is an accomplished engineer with extensive experience in propulsion systems and avionics. Currently serving as a Specialist Engineer for Virgin Galactic since November 2013, Steven has been instrumental in developing critical data acquisition software for hybrid rocket motor test stands and designing comprehensive verification and validation test benches. Previously, as a Senior Spaceship Propulsion Avionics Engineer, Steven enhanced monitoring and control systems, and in an earlier role at Virgin Orbit, developed software for high-fidelity rocket motor testing. Prior experience includes leading project engineering for powertrain control systems at General Motors R&D Center and conducting research on optical MEMS pressure sensors at the Automation and Robotics Research Institute. Steven holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from The University of Texas at Arlington and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Manipal Institute of Technology.
