Nina Rabe-Cairns has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Nina has most recently worked as the SVP and Head of Global Growth Strategy at Virgin Music Group since 2023. Prior to that, they held various positions at Ingrooves Music Group, including Managing Director for the APAC region, ANZ + SEA, and Country Manager for AU & NZ, from 2020 to 2023. Before that, they worked at Spotify as a Manager of Market Strategy & Operations and Senior Editor, where they focused on playlist curation, editorial strategy development, programming strategy, and partner management. Nina joined Spotify in 2017 and relocated from Berlin to Sydney in 2019. Before their time at Spotify, they worked at ViacomCBS as a Senior Brand Marketing Manager for Nickelodeon and Senior Manager for Content + Socials for MTV, Comedy Central, and VIVA. Nina was responsible for brand communications, strategy, and digital editorial teams. In the beginning of their career, they worked as a Radio Journalist at dpa Deutsche Presse-Agentur GmbH, as a freelancer at various radio stations, and at Norddeutscher Rundfunk. Nina also had roles at REGIOCAST GmbH & Co. KG as a Radio Journalist and news presenter, and at Glitterhouse Records as an intern in label distribution and mail order.
Nina Rabe-Cairns attended Kiel University from 2002 to 2004, where they studied Media and Literature. In 2016, they obtained additional certifications in Integrated Marketing Communications, Channel Management and Retailing, Pricing Strategy, and Brand and Product Management from Coursera Course Certificates.
