Richard Gilbert

Richard Gilbert has extensive work experience in the field of video and audio engineering. Richard started their career in 2008 as an Events Supervisor at Cardiff University Students' Union, where they managed various events. In 2010, Richard joined Stage Sound Services as a Technical Support Manager, responsible for providing technical support to clients. Richard worked in this role for over 10 years, until May 2021.

In April 2021, Richard also had an opportunity to work on video systems design and integration on a freelance basis. Later in the same year, they joined Virgin Voyages as the Video Head of Department, where they oversee video-related operations. Richard continues to work in this role till date, while also pursuing freelance work as a Video & Audio Engineer.

Richard Gilbert obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Live Event Technology from the University of South Wales, which they pursued from 2006 to 2009. In addition to their degree, they also obtained the Dante Level 3 certification from Audinate in November 2017.
