Job description

The Finance Analyst provides assistance to the Finance, Business and Investment Senior Manager in all aspects of financial and commercial processes in Virgin Unite, including the preparation of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting and balance sheet reconciliations.

  • Assisting the Finance, Business and Investment Senior Manager in providing comprehensive financial reporting to Virgin Unite and other ad hoc activities as needed including preparing monthly and quarterly reporting.
  • Assisting the Finance, Business and Investment Senior Manager in commercial activities for the Constellation including sponsoring preparations for the Trading Company Board
  • Supporting the Finance, Business and Investment Senior Manager in the annual insurance renewals process, maintaining the insurance tracker and acting as a point of contact for insurance queries internally
  • General Ledger maintenance for the Virgin Unite entities.
  • Transaction Processing and accounts payable for the UK and US entities
  • Maintaining an accurate up-to-date reserves position consolidated across all Unite entities
  • Completing month end and year end processes including journals and balance sheet reconciliations, including reserves
  • Prepare project budgets and report on actuals against budget, detailing reserves and project cash reconciliations working with Unite programme .
  • Prepare financial statements and disclosures for Virgin Unite entities
  • Supporting the Finance, Business and lnvestment Senior Manager in the audit process, preparing annual accounts and drafting of the annual report for the compilation of the audit files for UK, US and consolidated group, acting as main contact person for audit queries
  • Continually improving processes in order to drive efficiency.

What you’ll need

  • AAT qualified, or part qualified ACCA / ACA / CIMA
  • Detailed data and financial analysis.
  • Preparation of financial reports, providing a clear narrative to stakeholders
  • Use of finance systems ( NetSuite)
  • Accounts payable and supplier management and comprehension of VAT
  • Balance sheet reconciliations and journals
  • Experience of following financial controls and processes and making continuous improvements
  • Experience of preparing financial statements
  • Experience of preparing presentation materials for management teams
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Exposure to charity-specific finance environment
