This is an exciting opportunity for a Finance Pricing Manager to join our Finance team, here at Virgin. The role is accountable for the overall management, reporting and control of Virgin Red’s point economics to ensure sustainable point margins are maintained.

Tell me more

  • Ownership of all point economic inputs into financial planning processes including Annual Budget, Forecasting, and Strategic Plans.
  • Production of insightful monthly Reporting of point economics, tracking performance trends and versus targets at an overall and partner level, with commentary on risks and opportunities and early flagging of concerns requiring mitigation.
  • Ensuring Finance management visibility and ‘sign off’ of new reward inventory models (with existing or new partners) proposed by the Director of Pricing & Inventory and Team via ownership of detailed financial business cases to promote results. Providing critical conclusion and input to development of new pricing models to ensure point economics safeguarded, controllable by Virgin Red, with stability maintained.
  • Providing insightful study of member profitability by program and cohort based on points Earn and Spend behaviours and underlying point economics.
  • Ensuring that any use or wider reporting of point economics across the business is channelled through and validated by the Finance Pricing Manager to ensure that ‘one version of the truth’ (aligned to finance reporting) is maintained.
  • Assist the Head of Commercial Finance and the Finance Director with reports and presentations to the Virgin Red Team in respect of Point Economic elements.

What you’ll need

  • Qualified accountant (ICAEW, ICAS, ACCA, CIMA)
  • 2+ years post qualified experience
  • Financial Evaluation: Ability to use multiple internal and external inputs in order to create clear and coherent financial models and business cases to promote making.
  • Financial modelling: Advanced Excel skills and strong financial modelling capabilities, involving structured build and exploration, guiding teams through reason. Ability to draw conclusions from outputs and represent dependencies and sensitivities / risks & opportunities.
  • Execution: Ability to execute complex pieces of work to a high standard and on time. High attention to detail and level of accuracy.
  • Communication: Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills are sought after. The ability to work credibly with senior managers across the business and to form strong personal relationships is key. High competency in developing presentations (verbal and in PowerPoint / word) that are logical, clear, crisp and well thought through.
  • Business Comprehension: Excellent appreciation of Virgin Red’s business model, in particular point economics, and drivers of financial performance.
  • Judgement: Ability to view outputs objectively, carefully and accurately to weight conflicting data points and perspectives to reach realistic and reasonable conclusions and recommendations.
