Amir Shahpar

Amir Shahpar, PE, currently serves in multiple roles at the Virginia Department of Transportation, including Acting District Traffic Engineer, Deputy Director of Traffic Operations, and Director of Transportation Planning, contributing to the development of Long-Range Transportation Plans and policy formulation for the Northern Virginia District. Additionally, as a Transportation Mobility Manager at the Virginia Transportation Research Council, Amir engages in advancing transportation research while previously holding significant positions at AECOM that involved managing multi-modal transportation studies and stakeholder engagements. Amir's educational background includes a Master of Engineering in Civil Engineering from the University of Delaware and a Master of Science in Transportation and Highway Engineering from Sharif University of Technology.
