Chip Knighton

Chip Knighton has extensive experience in communications and marketing, currently serving as the Communications Director at the Virginia Economic Development Partnership since August 2019. Previously, Chip held the positions of Senior Marketing Manager and Communications Manager at the Virginia Society of CPAs from December 2010 to August 2019, and was a Communications Specialist there earlier in that tenure. Prior experience includes roles as Assistant Sports Editor at The Daily Progress within Media General from January 2008 to December 2010 and Sports Writer at The Progress-Index under Times Shamrock from January 2005 to January 2008. Chip earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of Virginia from 1999 to 2003.
