John Richardson

John Richardson, CISSP, CISA, CEH, QSA, has extensive work experience in the field of IT and information security. John is currently working as an IT Director at Virginia Green since September 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Dixon Hughes Goodman LLP as a Senior Manager in Advisory Services from May 2016 to September 2021. In this role, they provided consulting services for assessing, designing, implementing, and testing Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery programs. John also managed and performed IT Security Audits for commercial and government clients based on NIST 800-53 standards. Additionally, they handled IT Vendor Assessments as part of an IT Risk Management Program for a Fortune 500 company. Before their time at Dixon Hughes Goodman, John held positions at Logistics 2020, Inc as CIO from 2011 to 2016 and as Director of Information Technology from 2005 to 2011.

John Richardson, CISSP, CISA, CEH, QSA, holds a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree from Virginia Commonwealth University, obtained in 2013. John also has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Information Systems from Old Dominion University, completed in 2003. Additionally, they have obtained certifications such as Certified Ethical Hacker (C|EH) from EC-Council, Certified Information Security Auditor (CISA) from ISACA, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)², and Payment Card Industry Qualified Security Assessor (PCI QSA) from the PCI Security Standards Council.
