Kasia Wiggins is an experienced legal professional currently serving as an Assistant Public Defender at the Virginia Indigent Defense Commission since August 2021. Previously, Wiggins held positions including Law Clerk to the Honorable Paul A. Dryer at the Augusta, Staunton, and Waynesboro Circuit Courts, and Student Attorney in the Criminal Justice Clinic at Washington and Lee University School of Law. Notable legal experiences include client representation and legal research activities leading to successful case outcomes during their internships at the Virginia Indigent Defense Commission and the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia. Wiggins holds a Juris Doctor from Washington and Lee University School of Law and a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from Old Dominion University. Additionally, Wiggins was involved in mentoring first-year law students through the Kirgis Fellow Program and provided support to victims of domestic violence as a Legal Advocate Intern.
