Lauren Talbert

Lauren Talbert is an Assistant Public Defender at the Virginia Indigent Defense Commission since August 2023. Previously, Lauren served as a Law Clerk at Juris Day, PLLC from May 2022 to June 2023, and held the position of Research Editor at the George Mason International Law Journal from February 2022 to May 2023. Lauren has experience as a Legal Extern at DeCaro, Doran, Siciliano, Gallagher & DeBlasis, LLP, in early 2022, and as a Student Ambassador at George Mason University - Antonin Scalia Law School from August 2021 to May 2022. Additionally, Lauren worked as a Summer Legal Intern at the Office of the Public Defender in June 2021. Educationally, Lauren earned a Doctor of Law (JD) from George Mason University - Antonin Scalia Law School (2020-2023) and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from the University of Mary Washington (2018-2020), along with attending Christopher Newport University from 2016 to 2018.
