Robert S. Ward

Robert S. Ward, Esq. currently serves as an Officer of Election for the City of Martinsville, Virginia, and as an Assistant Public Defender for the Virginia Indigent Defense Commission. Previous roles include Law Clerk II at the University of the District of Columbia David A. Clarke School of Law, Teaching Assistant, Law Clerk at the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia, and Student Attorney at Rising for Justice, where Robert provided legal representation and advice under supervision. Robert's legal experience also includes internships at the Office of the Public Defender for Arlington County, the Mississippi Center for Justice, and volunteer coordinative roles at Reading Partners. A graduate of the University of the District of Columbia David A. Clarke School of Law with a Doctor of Law degree, Robert also holds a Master of Public Policy and Administration from Mississippi State University and a Bachelor of Arts in English and Journalism from The University of Southern Mississippi.
