Sara Spartz currently serves as an Assistant Public Defender at the Virginia Indigent Defense Commission since November 2019. Prior experience includes roles as a Legal Extern at the Suffolk Office of the Public Defender and an intern at the Norfolk Public Defender Office. Sara has also gained experience as a Legal Intern at the eBenchbook Project, where responsibilities involved gathering information on Election Law codes, and the Innocence Project of Minnesota, focusing on investigating potential wrongful convictions. Additional experience comprises a Sales Associate position at Orangetheory Fitness and various roles at Barnes and Noble. Sara holds a Juris Doctor from William & Mary Law School and a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and Government, as well as Legal Studies from Hamline University.
