Mike Rose has had a diverse range of work experience in marketing and event management. Mike started their career as President of Ultimate Sports Group, where they focused on grassroots events and client representation. Mike then moved on to become Project Director at Host Communications, where they managed the company's marquis property, Hoop-It-Up, and had a staff of 30. Later, they worked as a Marketing Manager at Red Bull, where they managed all activation programs for the Nextel Cup series. Mike also served as Director of Marketing at WFofR, a media company that specializes in applying an efficiency-oriented model to all media platforms for clients. From there, they worked as Director of Marketing at RedShift, a full-service digital advertising agency. Mike also worked as an Independent Marketing Consultant at Rose Results, where they applied their expertise to various marketing projects. Mike consulted as the Director of Business Development at Planet Central. Additionally, they served as VP Membership and VP Special Events at the American Marketing Association's Richmond chapter. Most recently, they worked as the Director of Marketing at Virginia International Raceway, responsible for all marketing related to the motorsport resort.
Mike Rose attended Osbourn High School from 1981 to 1985. After completing high school, they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing/Marketing Management, General at Virginia Tech - Pamplin College of Business from 1985 to 1990.

VIRginia International Raceway is one of America’s premier road courses. VIR offers professional and amateur racing for modern and vintage classes while providing contemporary resort amenities. It is also a prominent test facility for the automotive industry. Located 200 miles from 20 million people, VIR has the distinction of being named one of the top six courses in North America and the most complete American version of the Nurburgring (Car & Driver). Southern roots and hospitality make it one of the friendliest. Opened in 1957, VIR hosts ALMS, SCCA and other professional and amateur car and motorcycle events, driving schools, club days, private testing as well as group activities. Racing enthusiasts from around the world make the trip to VIR each year to be part of this historic track. Recognized as the country club of racing, VIR offers complimentary amenities such as corporate retreats, group activities, conference space, lodging, and dining. Also available is an exclusive driver’s club, karting, off-road racing, skeet shooting, skidpad, and other activities. On-site parcels are available for sale/lease to motorsports industry tenants.
