VIRginia International Raceway
Mitchell Smith has extensive experience in marketing and event management, currently serving as the VIR Club and Marketing Manager at VIRginia International Raceway since January 2018. Prior roles at the same organization include Marketing Coordinator and Resort Events Supervisor. Additionally, Mitchell held leadership positions as the Theta Beta Chapter President and Recruitment Director for Alpha Sigma Phi Fraternity from April 2015 to December 2017. A brief internship experience with the Washington Commanders and a marketing internship at VIRginia International Raceway further enriched Mitchell's skill set. Earlier in 2016, Mitchell worked as a Day Camp Counselor with Prince George County Parks and Recreation. Mitchell obtained a degree in Sports Management from Averett University in 2018.

VIRginia International Raceway is one of America’s premier road courses. VIR offers professional and amateur racing for modern and vintage classes while providing contemporary resort amenities. Located 200 miles from 20 million people, VIR has the distinction of being named one of the top six courses in North America and the most complete American version of the Nurburgring (Car & Driver). Opened in 1957, VIR hosts ALMS, SCCA and other professional and amateur car and motorcycle events, driving schools, club days, private testing as well as group activities. Racing enthusiasts from around the world make the trip to VIR each year to be part of this historic track. Recognized as the country club of racing, VIR offers complimentary amenities such as corporate retreats, group activities, conference space, lodging, and dining. Also available is an exclusive driver’s club, karting, off-road racing, skeet shooting, skidpad, and other activities. On-site parcels are available for sale/lease to motorsports industry tenants.
