Ava Ward

Ava Ward is a clinical research professional currently serving as a Clinical Research Phlebotomist at University of Washington Medical Center since August 2023, responsible for blood specimen collection from research study participants. Previous roles include Undergraduate Research Assistant and Research Intern in Anesthesiology & Pain Medicine, where responsibilities involved patient recruitment, consenting, Quantitative Sensory Testing, and specimen collection. Ava also holds a position as a Lab Assistant Phlebotomist at Virginia Mason Franciscan Health, performing venipuncture and processing laboratory testing samples, and is employed as a Medical Equipment Technician at Seattle Children's. Additional experience includes various leadership and advisory roles in Greek life and community service organizations, alongside internships in medical settings. Ava is pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Biology at the University of Washington, expected to graduate in June 2025, after completing an International Baccalaureate high school diploma.
