Nick Hall is the Director of Public Safety at VIRGINIA SCHOOL FOR THE DEAF AND THE BLIND. Nick has over ten years of experience in public safety and security.
Nick started their career as a Public Safety Officer with the Virginia School for the Deaf and the Blind in 2007. In this role, they were responsible for the safety and security of the school’s students, staff, and visitors. Nick also oversaw the school’s security system and supervised the school’s security guards.
In 2014, Nick was promoted to Director of Public Safety. In this role, they are responsible for the overall safety and security of the school. Nick oversees the security system, supervises the security guards, and develops and implements safety and security policies and procedures.
Nick has a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from George Mason University. Nick is a certified Safety Professional (CSP) and a Certified Protection Professional (CPP).
Nick Hall has a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Technology/Technician from Old Dominion University, and a Field: Technology Teacher Education/Industrial Arts Teacher Education from Virginia State University. Nick is certified from ATIXIA in Civil Rights Investigator Level 2, from the American Heart Association in First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor, and from the OSHA Safety Training Institute in OSHA 511. Finally, they are certified from Silent Knight Security in Silent Knight Fire Alarm Installer/Programer.
They work with Erich Roscher - Director of Facilities & Engineering, Amy Huffer - Director of Student Health, Infirmary, and Lindsay Burris - Principal. Nick Hall reports to Pat Fahed Trice, Superintendent.
