Katie Smith is an experienced marketing specialist currently interning with Virginia Tech Athletics since August 2022, where responsibilities include planning promotional schedules for baseball and managing sports marketing budgets. Previous roles at Virginia Tech include an Athletic Events Intern focused on enhancing fan engagement and an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant assisting over 200 students while balancing a full course load. Katie also contributes as a staff writer for Collegiate Women in Business, developing article content, and has gained customer service experience through positions at REI and Coastal Edge Surf Shop. A graduate of Princess Anne High School with an Advanced Studies and International Baccalaureate Diploma, Katie is pursuing dual Bachelor's degrees in Entrepreneurship and Marketing Management at Virginia Tech.
