The board of directors at Virginia Wesleyan University has a long and varied history. The current president, Dr. Scott D. Miller, is the former president of Bethany College. He has also served as the president of Wesley College, Delaware and the University at Lincoln Memorial University. Dr. Miller has a long history in education, having earned his Higher Education Administration degree from Vanderbilt University and Union Institute & University. He also previously served as the Director of College Relations and Alumni Affairs at University of Rio Grande.
