Ben Kuehner

Ben Kuehner has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Ben started their career as a Network Technician and progressed to become a Network Administrator at Mercy Medical Center - Des Moines. Ben then worked as a Microsoft Engineer II at Catholic Health Initiatives. Following this, they had a Summer Internship at Altec and then served as a Graduate Assistant at Auburn University. Ben also worked at Control Systems Software LLC as a Sales Engineer/Network Engineer. Currently, Ben is working at Virginia529, where they started as a Systems Administrator and later became a Systems Engineer II. Ben then served as an Infrastructure Manager before their current role as IT Operations Director. During their tenure at Virginia529, they introduced a Kanban board to track and prioritize projects and successfully led the transition of the phone system and contact center software to a new vendor called 8x8. Ben is also known for providing mentorship and leading group training sessions on topics such as Linux, information security, and contact center software.

Ben Kuehner has a diverse education history. Ben began their academic journey at the University of Iowa from 1993 to 1997, where they pursued a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a focus on Economics and Finance. Following this, they attended Auburn University in 2010 and 2011, where they completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) program. Later, from 2018 to 2021, Ben attended the University of Colorado Boulder, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Computer Science. Ben's educational pursuits continued as they enrolled in Baylor University from 2023 to 2027, where they pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science.
