Rosario Igharas

Rosario Igharas has a diverse work experience in the field of Information Technology. From 1997 to 1999, Rosario worked as a Senior IT Auditor at Virginia Commonwealth University. In 1999, Rosario joined Capital One as a Senior IT Auditor and worked there until 2002. In 2002, Rosario joined Virginia529 as an IT Manager and later transitioned to the role of Information Security Officer. Finally, in 2010, Rosario became the Director of Information Security at Virginia529.

Rosario Igharas has a diverse educational background in the field of business and information systems. Rosario first pursued their studies at the University of San Carlos from 1981 to 1983, where they obtained a BSC degree in Accounting. Following this, they furthered their education at the Asian Institute of Management from 1989 to 1990, and earned an MBM degree with a focus on Finance and Marketing.

Later, Igharas enrolled in Virginia Commonwealth University - School of Business from 1994 to 1997, where they completed a post-BS Certificate in Information Systems.

Additionally, throughout their career, Igharas has obtained several certifications to enhance their expertise in information security and auditing. In 1996, they became a Certified Information Systems Auditor awarded by the Information Systems Audit and Control Association. Furthermore, in 2011, they earned the Certified Information Systems Security Professional designation from ISC2. Lastly, in 2012, Igharas obtained the GIAC Security Leadership (GSLC) certification from the Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC).
