Beth Thompson - Webb

Beth Thompson - Webb has extensive experience in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry. Beth is currently the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) at Virica Biotech, a position they started in 2023. Prior to that, they served as a member of the Board of Directors at SMSbiotech since 2022. In 2020, they held the role of Member of the Board of Advisors at Labviva. Beth also served on the Scientific Advisory Board at New Jersey Innovation Institute from 2020 to 2023.

From 2021 to 2022, Beth worked as the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) at Aldevron, where they successfully launched a global commercial organization and led a team of 31 employees. Before that, they worked at Cytiva (formerly GE Life Sciences) from 2018 to 2021, initially as the GM - Global Commercial - Cell & Gene Therapy and later as the Head of Global Sales for Cell & Gene Therapy. During their time at Cytiva, they oversaw the growth of the biopharma business, led the team through a $21B acquisition, and maintained key client relationships.

Beth also has experience at GE Healthcare, where they held various roles from 2012 to 2018. Beth served as the GM - Global Commercial Leader Cell & Gene Therapy and was later promoted to the role of Global Customer Experience Leader. Beth also worked at GE Digital as the Chief Global Product Management - Commercial Digital Thread from 2017 to 2018.

Their career started at Life Technologies in 2005, where they worked as a Global Key Account Manager and Senior Bioproduction Specialist until 2012. Throughout their career, Beth has demonstrated their expertise in commercial strategy, team leadership, and relationship management.

Beth Thompson - Webb attended Indiana University Bloomington from 1987 to 1991, where they earned a bachelor's degree in both Biology and Business. Beth then furthered their education by attending Wharton Executive Education, specializing in Corporate Governance.
