Jeet Dasgupta

Jeet Dasgupta has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Jeet currently serves as the Co-Founder and CFO of Viridian Seeds since December 2021. Prior to this, they worked as the Interim Group CFO at Edwinlowe Limited from May 2021 to November 2021.

From 2018 to 2021, Jeet held the position of CFO at Empirical Spirits. In this role, they were responsible for finance, HR, purchasing, and operations. Jeet also managed investor relations, was part of the board, and designed and implemented the finance function and internal control processes.

Before joining Empirical Spirits, Jeet worked at Octo Telematics as the Finance Director from 2016 to 2018. Their responsibilities included overseeing the finance function and support services, balance sheet restructuring, financial planning, and budgeting. Jeet also managed a team of direct and indirect reports, with the aim of preparing the company for IPO.

From 2013 to 2016, Jeet served as an Interim Senior Finance consultant, taking on the role of Finance Director. Prior to this, they had a long and successful tenure at Nokia, where they held various finance and controller positions in different locations such as Singapore, Finland, the US, and the UK. Notable positions include Head of Finance for Global Online Services Cost Operations and Partnering, Head of Finance & Control for Global Digital Media Business, and Senior Business Controller for Global Online Services Business and Global Sales.

Jeet began their career in finance with ABB as a Finance Executive from 1995 to 1996.

Jeet Dasgupta has a diverse education history. Jeet first attended Delhi University from 1988 to 1991, where they pursued a BCom (Hons) degree. During this time, they studied subjects such as commerce, financial planning, company act, accountancy, audits, and cost management. Following their undergraduate studies, from 1991 to 1995, Jeet attended Chartered Accountant - ACA, where they obtained an ACA degree and focused on becoming a chartered accountant. Simultaneously, they also attended Cost and Works Accountants of India - ICWAI, where they earned a CMA degree with a specialization in financial planning and cost control. In addition to these qualifications, Jeet also holds a certification from the Institute of Cost Accountants of India as a Certified Cost & Management Accountant.
