Edward Thomas has extensive work experience in project management and director roles in the environmental and energy sectors. Edward has served as Head of Programme Delivery at Viridor since 2014. Previously, they worked as a Project Director for Shepherds Engineering, overseeing the Drax Biomass conversion project. Edward also held the position of Project Director at Covanta Energy, responsible for the construction of a waste to energy power plant. Edward has worked at United Utilities as a Project Director, where they established and delivered the company's first-ever waste PFI concession. Earlier in their career, they served as a Director at Veolia Environmental Services UK, leading engineering resources and managing various projects.
Edward Thomas earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Engineering with Management from Durham University from 1988 to 1991. Edward later pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management from The Open University, completing it from 1997 to 2000.
