Sue Palfrey

Sue Palfrey has extensive experience in communications and engagement roles. Sue is currently working at Viridor as the Head of Communications, Community, and Engagement, a position they have held since October 2020. Prior to this, they were the Head of Internal Communications and Engagement at Viridor since March 2019.

Before joining Viridor, Sue worked at the National Trust from April 2015 to March 2019 as the Head of Internal Communications.

Sue also has experience working at Home, Bristol as a Communication Strategist from November 2013 to April 2015. Here, their work involved change management and strategy implementation for various clients. Sue also served as a Senior Account Manager at Home, Bristol from July 2010 to November 2013, where they delivered strategic communications and campaigns for global organizations.

Sue's earlier work experience includes roles at Virgin Media from August 2002 to July 2010. Sue was responsible for internal communications, managing the internal communications team for Virgin Mobile, and leading communication programs for M&A and rebranding initiatives. Sue also served as an Internal Communications Manager for Business Transformation at Virgin Media from January 2008 to August 2008.

Sue Palfrey obtained a Masters degree in Internal Communication Management from Solent University in 2022. Prior to that, they had earned a PostGrad degree in Internal Communications Management from Kingston University in 2007. In addition, Sue Palfrey is certified as a Dare to Lead Trained professional by Dare to Lead™ Trained.
