We are looking for a new team member to Virta Technology unit to develop our platform. You’ll be part of a team of talented people who are responsible for the Virta payment transactions development life cycle. Location: Romania 

Our current technology stack includes  

• PHP 8 Laravel 8 Monolith, and PHP legacy system with JQuery UI
• NodeJS microservices with Typescript and NestJS
• React based end user UI’s
• MySQL and PostgreSQL databases, Redis, RabbitMQ, and Kafka, all running on AWS
• Microservice deployment on top of Kubernetes
• GitLab pipelines for CI/CD

What we expect you to know  

• Hands-on experience with one of the backend languages such as PHP and Typescript
• Good knowledge of relational databases (eg. MySQL, PostgreSQL)
• Nice to have experience with modern CI/CD systems and knowledge of cloud services
• Familiar with some frameworks such as Laravel, NestJS, etc.
• Experience in Scrum and Kanban. SAFe and other agile methodologies are a plus

• You can communicate fluently in English, as it is the main working language at Virta, and you enjoy working in an international environment together with development teams and businesses

• Your quality solutions are easily maintainable and scalable

• Your current residence is in Finland or in Romania

• We consider it useful if you have experience with developing a payment system or you have gained financial knowledge during your software development career
