Jim van Hoof

Jim Van Hoof currently serves as Managing Director at Virtas Partners since February 2024. Previously, Jim held the position of President at Sandbridge Advisors, LLC from January 2020 to February 2024 and Chief Operating Officer & General Counsel at Electriq Power from July 2021 to November 2023. Jim was Chief Financial Officer at Ionic Materials, Inc from January 2020 to July 2021, and before that, served in various leadership roles at Hubbell Incorporated, including Vice President of Growth & Innovation and President of Integrated Solutions from June 2013 to January 2020. Notably, Jim was Chief Tax Officer at Bunge Ltd from November 2009 to March 2013 and held the position of VP and CFO at UTC Power from April 2006 to March 2009. Educational qualifications include an LLM in Tax from Boston University School of Law, an MST in Tax from the University of Hartford, a JD in Law from Western New England University School of Law, and a BA in History/Economics from Saint Anselm College.
