Søren Laustsen

Søren Laustsen is an experienced Optical Design Engineer at Virtek Vision International Inc. since July 2016, specializing in the development of laser modules, laser projection systems, and vision systems, with a focus on C++ and Python tool development. Prior roles include Systems Engineer at PV Labs, where engagement involved EO/IR camera and gimbal development, and Sr. Camera Designer at RIM, focusing on advanced camera modules for BlackBerry smartphones. Additional experience spans over a decade in senior hardware engineering positions at Motorola Mobile Devices and various roles in avionics at Rockwell-Collins Ltd and Scandinavian Avionics A/S. Søren Laustsen holds a Master’s degree in Display Technology and Applications from the University of Dundee and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Ingeniorhojskolen Aarhus, complemented by a Higher National Diploma in Electronics from EUC Syd.
