J.D. Herron is currently the Principal Software Engineer at VirTra Systems, where they lead a team in the development of virtual reality simulators for training Law Enforcement and Military professionals. With previous experience as a Senior Staff Software Engineer at Bruker Nano, Inc., Veeco, and WYKO, as well as a Software Engineer at Hewlett Packard, they have a strong background in software development. Additionally, their experience as a Research Assistant and Software Programmer at Spacewatch Research Group showcases their abilities in research and data analysis. J.D. Herron holds a PSM in Applied Bioscience from the University of Arizona, as well as a BS in Computer Science & Physics.
