Julian De Los Rios Giraldo

Julian De Los Rios Giraldo has held a variety of roles in the education and engineering sectors over the past two decades. Julian has been a Shift Manager at Virtual Guard Inc. since 2020, a Teacher at Secretaría de Educación y Cultura del Cauca since 2018, a Lecturer at Universidad Santo Tomás since 2018, a Teacher Assistant at the University of Waikato from 2013-2018, a Lecturer at Universidad Autonoma de Occidente - Cali, Colombia from 1997-2013, and a Professor at Escuela Militar de Aviación "Marco Fidel Suarez" from 2002-2013. At the University of Waikato, they were the Lab demonstration and marker for the experiment's report and delivered tutoring sessions. At Universidad Autonoma de Occidente - Cali, Colombia, they taught fluid and thermal mechanics to second year students and acted as a supernumerary lecturer for the Mechanics of Solids and Design area. At Escuela Militar de Aviación "Marco Fidel Suarez", they acted as Head of Area, Lecturer, and Laboratory Coordinator in Solid Mechanics, developed and taught the Aeronautical Structures paper, and supervised more than ten bachelor’s research projects.

Julian De Los Rios Giraldo has received a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Structural Engineering from The University of Waikato from 2013 to 2017. Julian also obtained a Master's degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering from Universidad del Valle (CO) from 2002 to 2007. Additionally, they hold a Quality Assurance Manager on Standard ISO9000 certification from SENA.
