Piet Hinoul has a diverse and extensive work experience in the medical field. Piet currently holds the position of Chief Medical Officer at Virtual Incision since 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Novocure as the Sr VP, Head Global Medical Affairs from 2020 to 2023. Before that, they had a long tenure at Johnson & Johnson, where they held various positions such as Global Head, Preclinical, Clinical & Medical Affairs at Ethicon, Inc. from 2018 to 2020, Vice President - Medical Affairs at Ethicon, Inc. from 2014 to 2018, and multiple Senior Director roles in different medical affairs divisions within Ethicon from 2011 to 2014. Piet also has experience working as an Attending Gynecologist at ZOL from 1999 to 2008, a Clinical Fellow at King's College London in 2001, a Resident in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at AZ Sint-Jan Brugge-Oostende AV from 1997 to 1999, and a Senior House Officer in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the University of Sheffield from 1995 to 1997.
Piet Hinoul began their education at Notre Dame High School from 1984 to 1987. Following this, they attended KU Leuven from 1987 to 1995, where they obtained their M.D. degree in the field of Medicine. After a gap in their education, from 2007 to 2011, Hinoul pursued a Ph.D. at the University of Amsterdam in the field of Biomedical Sciences, General. Currently, they are enrolled at Columbia University, pursuing a Master of Science - MS degree in Bioethics, which they are expected to complete in 2023.
