Bharat Melag

Bharat Melag is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the payments and financial services sector, currently serving as the Head of Token Provisioning and Scan to Pay at Visa since December 2015. In this role, Bharat oversees the global product strategy and roadmap for token provisioning products and capabilities, along with leading the development of digital and physical payment experiences using Visa Token Service. Previous leadership positions at Visa include Head of Consumer Solutions and Head of Credit and Affordability Solutions for India and South Asia, where Bharat significantly contributed to business growth and market development. Additionally, Bharat is a Strategic Advisor for Stanford Seed and a Founding Member of CREW. Earlier career experiences include key roles at Citibank India and Barclays Bank, focusing on product management, acquisitions marketing, and sales innovations. Bharat holds an MBA in Finance from the Faculty of Management Studies at the University of Delhi and completed the Harvard Business Analytics Program, along with various other certifications from Harvard Business School Online.
