Carlos Zavala

Carlos Zavala is an accomplished business leader with extensive experience in the banking and financial services industry. Currently serving as Group Country Manager for the Andean Region at Visa since October 2024, Carlos previously held the position of Vice President & Head of Retail Banking at Scotiabank Colpatria, overseeing the Retail business line P&L and digital transformation from November 2022 to October 2024. With a strong background at Scotiabank, where responsibilities included managing Retail's strategic cross functions and International Banking & Digital Transformation Strategy, Carlos also served as Engagement Manager and Associate at McKinsey & Company and held various roles at Barclays and Scotiabank. An alumnus of The University of Chicago Booth School of Business, Carlos graduated with an MBA focusing on Strategy and Marketing, and also earned a Specialization Diploma in Finance from CENTRUM PUCP, graduating as valedictorian, along with a Bachelor of Business Administration from Universidad de Lima.
