Nicholas Kersting

Nicholas Kersting is a seasoned professional in the field of machine learning and artificial intelligence, currently serving as a Principal Machine Learning Engineer at Visa since November 2021 and as Head of AI Research at neurothink. Nicholas has a wealth of experience, having previously worked as a Principal for Intelligent Products & Solutions at Ant Financial, where responsibilities included liaison roles between AI teams and business clients, as well as chatbot development. Earlier roles include Senior Software Engineer at IBM, where expertise in Natural Language Processing was leveraged, and Consultant at Princeton Consultants, focusing on complex projects within the transportation and logistics sectors. Nicholas's academic background features a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of California, Berkeley, and a BS in Physics from Carnegie Mellon University, complemented by postdoctoral research in particle physics at Tsinghua University, Sichuan University, and Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory.
