Homaira Akbari

Homaira Akbari is an advisor at VisibleRisk. Homaira has also worked for WorkFusion, Banco Santander, and AKnowledge Partners, LLC. From October 2007 to June 2012, they were the president and CEO of SkyBitz, Inc. During their time there, they successfully led the company to record performance, despite the challenging economic environment in 2008-2009. The company had positive net income in 2009, cash flow turned positive in 2010, and revenues grew by 22% in 2011. SkyBitz was selected as one of Deloitte’s fifty fastest growing companies in Virginia for two years in a row and ranked #2 nation-wide in the inaugural 2007 CTIA Wireless Fast 50. In February 2012, they sold SkyBitz to Telular Corporation (NASDAQ: WRLS).

Homaira Akbari has an MBA with Distinction from Carnegie Mellon University - Tepper School of Business, and a Doctorate of Experimental Particle Physics with Honors from Tufts University and Fermi National Laboratory.
