Samantha Whelpley

Samantha Whelpley has been working in the tech industry since 2016. Samantha began their career as an Information Technology Student Worker at Perry Local Schools, followed by a Computing Lab Monitor at the University of Pittsburgh in 2018. In 2019, they became a Team Member at The Milkshake Factory and a Full-Stack Developer Intern at Nourish'd. Samantha also joined Rewriting the Code as a Fellow, where they had access to resources, webinars, and mentors. In 2020, they were a Web Developer at the University of Pittsburgh School of Computing and Information and a Computer Technician at the Pittsburgh Quantum Institute. Samantha also worked as a Design Assistant at Responsival, where they collaborated with the Design team and built a design case study. Currently, they are a Software Developer at VISIMO, where they are working on front-end development for a data science platform for the Army's Artificial Intelligence Integration Center. Samantha is also coordinating front-end unit testing effort and acting as a product manager.

Samantha Whelpley's education history includes a Bachelor's Degree in Information Science from the University of Pittsburgh, which they obtained in 2021. Samantha also attended iXperience in 2019 to study Full Stack Coding. Prior to that, they graduated from Perry High School in 2017 with an Honors Diploma. Additionally, they have obtained seven certifications, including UX Design Fundamentals from Coursera in June 2022, Visual Elements of User Interface Design from Coursera in February 2022, React from TestDome in November 2020, Web Programming Foundations from LinkedIn in June 2020, Succeeding in Web Development: Full Stack and Front End from LinkedIn in May 2020, Presenting Technical Information with Stories from LinkedIn in March 2020, and Presenting as a Team from LinkedIn in March 2020.
