Paul Ikanza has extensive work experience in the technology field. Paul started their career in 2001 as a Night Support Engineer at Africa Online (U) Limited. Paul then moved on to New Vision Printing & Publishing Company Limited in 2004, where they held roles such as Systems Administrator and IT Manager. In 2008, Paul joined Vision Group, where they served as the Head of ICT until May 2023. Currently, they are the Head of Technology at Vision Group, responsible for strategic planning, stakeholder management, and financial management in the technology department. Throughout their career, Paul has demonstrated strong leadership and operational skills in aligning technology with corporate needs and enhancing business competitiveness.
Paul Ikanza has a diverse education history. Paul obtained a Master of Business Administration - MBA with a focus on Strategic Planning from Edinburgh Business School, Heriot-Watt University in 2019. In 2014, they earned a Post Graduate Diploma in Leadership Development in ICT & the Knowledge Society (ALICT) from UN GESCI. Earlier, they pursued a Msc. Data Communications & Software Engineering with a specialization in Networks & Systems Administration from Makerere University from 2006 to 2008. Prior to that, they completed a Bsc. Computer Science degree with a concentration in Computer Networks from Makerere University from 2000 to 2003. Paul'seducation journey began with the completion of O & A Levels at King's College Budo between 1994 and 1999. In addition to their academic accomplishments, Paul also holds various additional certifications, including COBIT 5 Foundation and COBIT 5 Implementation from APMG International in 2019, Agile PM Practitioner from APMG-International in 2014, PRINCE2 Practitioner from APMG International in 2012, and CCNP and CCNA from the Cisco Networking Academy in 2005 and 2003, respectively.
