Chief People Officer at Vision Ireland, the new name for NCBI

Maria O'Kelly is a Fellow CIPD with an MSc and extensive work experience in human resources. Maria currently holds the position of Chief People Officer at NCBI (National Council of Blind Ireland) and previously served as the Head of HR at the same organization. Maria has also worked as the Chief People Officer at ForSight_NI. Prior to these roles, Maria was the Human Resources Director - Integrated Solutions at Bidvest Noonan. Maria has also held positions such as Head Of Human Resources at Devine's Worldwide Chauffeur Services and Senior Human Resources Business Partner at Beaumont Hospital. Earlier in their career, Maria worked as the Regional Head of Human Resources and Organizational Design at Joe Duffy Motor Group and as the Human Resource and People Development Manager/Section Manager Foods and Textiles at Marks and Spencer.

Maria O'Kelly Fellow CIPD MSc has a diverse education history. Maria studied Leading High Performance Teams at Trinity College Dublin. Maria then pursued a part-time Master's degree in HR Strategies at Dublin City University from 2016 to 2018. Maria also attended CIPD Qualifications in 2018 to complete an HR Business Partner Masterclass. Maria further enhanced their skills by attending Investigation and Grievance Training at IBEC in the same year. In 2001 to 2004, Maria obtained a Chartered Institute Of Personnel and Development (CIPD) certification in HR and a BA in Human Resources and Accountancy with a first-class honours at National College of Ireland. Maria is currently undertaking a Social Enterprise Course at Rethink Ireland, which they are expected to complete in 2023. Additionally, Maria participated in various training programs, including a D&I Mastermind Group from Legal Island and a Diversity and Inclusion MasterMind Group, also from Legal Island.
