Kate Amaral

Kate Amaral is an experienced coach and consultant currently serving as a coach and Dexafit technician at Vision Quest Coaching Services since October 2016. Amaral has been a board member at Tangley Oaks Home Owners Association since May 2015 and has held various roles, including consultant for Arbonne International since 2008. Previously, Amaral served as secretary on the executive board of the Lake Forest High School Foundation from May 2015 to May 2017 and was the head coach for Odyssey of the Mind from August 2014 to May 2016. Experience also includes a consulting position in human resources at NGM Biopharmaceuticals, where responsibilities involved sourcing scientific candidates. Additional volunteer work encompasses involvement with the Lake Bluff PTO in numerous leadership roles and participation in the Community Wellness Task Force, aimed at improving mental health support in the community. Early career experience includes work as an associate scientist at Tularik/Amgen from 1996 to 2003, focusing on molecular and cell biology related to obesity and diabetes. Kate Amaral earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry from Occidental College in 1991.
