Nicola Fertuna

Nicola Fertuna is an experienced educator specializing in homeschool instruction for students in grades TK-8. Currently serving as a Homeschool Teacher at Visions In Education Charter School since June 2022, Nicola supervises student learning, assesses academic performance, and mentors parents on instructional planning. Prior roles at Horizon Charter School included serving as a Science Adoption Committee Member and a Parent Education Mentor, where Nicola facilitated professional development for parents and supported curriculum implementation. Additional experience includes teaching at VIPKID, scoring assessments for Educational Testing Service, and various teaching positions at capital Christian School and Child Development Inc. Nicola holds a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from California State University-Sacramento and a Bachelor of Arts in Child Development with a minor in Social Welfare.
