Christine Felton

Christine Felton has a diverse work experience spanning multiple organizations. Christine began their career as a Marketing Communications Intern at Visit Austin in 2014. In this role, they provided visitor services for the city and tracked digital marketing initiatives. Christine then joined Virtuoso as a Marketing Intern in 2015, where they assisted in the Marketing Department and organized media assets. Following that, Christine worked at The University of Texas at Austin as a Signature Course Peer Mentor from 2012 to 2014, mentoring undergraduate sociology students and assisting in curriculum planning. Christine returned to Visit Austin in 2016 as a Marketing Coordinator, responsible for maintaining accuracy and timeliness of website content. In 2018, Christine was promoted to Marketing Manager, Digital & Content, where they managed day-to-day activities for publications and email programs. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Content & Digital Marketing at Visit Austin, overseeing strategy and directly supervising the Digital Marketing team while managing relationships with agency teams and advertising sales representatives.

Christine Felton attended The University of Texas at Austin from 2011 to 2015, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Studies. In addition to their degree, they have also completed several certifications. In November 2017, they received their certification as a Certified Yoga Teacher (200hr) from Black Swan Yoga. In January 2016, Christine obtained the Austin Tourism Insider Certification from L&M Hospitality in collaboration with the Austin Convention & Visitors Bureau. Most recently, in December 2020, they completed the DEI Deep Dive Masterclass Series and received a Certificate of Completion from the National Blacks in Travel & Tourism Collaborative.
