Merike Henneman, CPA, CGMA, has extensive experience in accounting and financial management, currently serving as the Director of Accounting & Financial Reporting and Controller at Destination DC since March 2010. Key responsibilities include overseeing daily accounting operations, managing general ledger transactions, and providing financial analyses for management meetings. Previous roles include Treasurer for the Association for the Advancement of Baltic Studies and Controller positions at The Performance Institute, Matrix Settles Architects and Interior Designers, and FBR National Trust Company, where Merike managed budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Merike began the career as an Accountant at Lucidea, ensuring efficient accounting operations. Educational qualifications include an MBA in Finance from George Mason University and a B.A. in International Business from Concordia International University.
