Jorge Arbujas has extensive experience in the field of product marketing and education. Jorge currently serves as the Director of Product Marketing at Vista Higher Learning, where they focus on building relationships with the sales team and improving print and digital offers. Prior to this, they worked as a Strategic Marketing and Editorial Consultant at DIFUSIÓN, Centro de Investigación y Publicaciones de Idiomas. In this role, they led the development of a marketing campaign and website for the American market.
Before joining DIFUSIÓN, Jorge held the position of Director of Strategies and Partnerships at Ohlinger Studios, where they collaborated with various stakeholders to create revision plans and promote language learning products. Jorge also played a key role in the development and launch of Pearson Single Solution, a mobile language learning technology.
Earlier in their career, Jorge had a successful tenure at McGraw-Hill, where they held multiple positions. Jorge started as a Marketing Manager and eventually became a Senior Marketing Manager, overseeing the Humanity and Social Sciences List team. Jorge also served as a Senior Faculty Development Manager and Faculty Development Manager, where they developed training strategies and implemented new programs. During their time at McGraw-Hill, they received the Discipline Achievement Award for their outstanding performance.
Additionally, Jorge has experience in the academic field. Jorge worked as a Spanish Language Coordinator at both Louisiana State University and the University of Pittsburgh, where they developed curriculums and implemented placement policies to accelerate language requirements.
Jorge Arbujas holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Second Language Learning from the University of Pittsburgh. Jorge obtained this degree from 1998 to 2004. Prior to their Ph.D., they completed a Master of Arts (MA) in Spanish Applied Linguistics from the same university from 1996 to 1998. On an earlier note, Jorge completed their Licenciator in Education at Universidad Católica Andrés Bello from 1987 to 1992, majoring in Social Science Teacher Education.
