Monica Candelas

Monica Candelas has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Monica began their career as a Graphic Designer at Conexión Creativa in 1994 before moving on to Santillana Puerto Rico in 1995, where they worked as a Graphic Designer and later became an Art Director. In these roles, Monica was responsible for graphic design and production, as well as leading design concepts and supervising in-house design and production staff.

In 2005, Monica joined Santillana USA Publishing as a Design & Production Manager, where they oversaw graphics and digital design and production for publishing departments and the marketing division. Monica also coordinated projects for freelance designers and illustrators.

During their tenure at Santillana USA Publishing, Monica also held the position of Digital Project Manager, where they created wireframes and layouts for digital content and designed digital resources and e-commerce tools. Monica also evaluated customer feedback to identify areas for improvement.

In 2018, Monica transitioned to Vista Higher Learning, where they initially served as a Tech Production Project Manager. In this role, they managed project planning, deliverables, and resourcing, as well as contributed to QA testing and resolution of technical issues. Currently, Monica holds the position of Sr. Digital Program Manager, K-12 Markets at Vista Higher Learning, where they lead program management for English and World Language digital products in the K-12 markets.

Throughout their career, Monica has demonstrated expertise in project management, digital content creation, graphic design, and production. Monica has collaborated with various teams and stakeholders to establish product strategies, budgets, and schedules, ensuring the delivery of high-quality digital programs and services.

Monica Candelas attended the Universidad del Sagrado Corazón and completed a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Visual Arts. The specific start and end date for their education at this institution are not provided.
