Laurys Gomez has a diverse work experience in the fields of compliance, IT governance, risk management, and financial auditing. They started their career as an Analyst at SIDOR (IST Consultores) in 2005, specializing in Datawarehouse. Later, they worked as an Architect of Solutions at IST Consultores in 2007 and then as an Automation Engineer at TecnoAp from 2007 to 2009. They then transitioned to the banking sector, working at Banco Caroni as an IT Auditor from 2009 to 2016, where they were responsible for evaluating and certifying technological processes and monitoring internal controls. Following that, they joined Lisicki Litvin & Asociados as a Financial Auditor Specialist in Systems, where they planned, executed, and managed IT audits for various banks. From 2017 to 2022, Laurys worked at interop latinoamérica as a Consultant in Information Technology, specializing in Governance, Risk & Compliance, where they designed and implemented automated controls using ACL software. Currently, Laurys is working at Vista as a Compliance Manager in IT and Cybersecurity, responsible for managing control execution KPIs and identifying areas for improvement in IT and cybersecurity processes.
Laurys Gomez attended Universidad de Oriente in Venezuela from 1996 to 2003, where they pursued a degree in Ingeniería with a specialization in Computación.
