Rudi Picquenard has a diverse and extensive work experience in the aviation industry. Rudi started their career as a DA-140 Mousquetaire tug pilot in the French Air Force in 1988. Rudi then worked as a flying instructor at Turweston Flying Club Ltd from 1996 to 1998, and later at CAE Oxford Aviation Academy (Oxford Air Training School) from 1998 to 1999.

In 1999, Rudi joined Air Medical Ltd as a Line Captain and was later promoted to Chief Pilot in 2005. During their time there, they led a team of 8 pilots and flew a fleet of various aircraft. Rudi also played a key role in drafting the training manual and seeking approval from the UK CAA.

In 2006, Rudi moved to TAG Aviation where they served as a Learjet 40 & Learjet 60 Captain until 2012. In 2013, they were appointed Training Captain and Flight Safety Officer, and later became the Post Holder Crew Training until 2018. During their time at TAG Aviation, they accumulated over 2450 hours of commercial air transport operations in Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East.

Rudi then joined flybmi in 2018 as an EMB-145 Captain and later upgraded to Captain in December of that year. Unfortunately, they were made redundant in February 2019 when the company went into administration. Rudi had a total of 350 flight hours with 140 as Pilot-in-Command on EMB-145/135.

Currently, Rudi works at VistaJet as a BD-700 Pilot, starting in June 2019.

Rudi Picquenard's education history includes various academic achievements. In 1982, they completed their Baccalauréat C (A-levels in Math, Physics, and Biology) from Lycée Jean-Baptiste Say in Paris. Following this, they pursued further education and obtained an Associate's degree in Physics from Université Paris Cité in 1986. Later, in 1990, Rudi completed their Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from ESIGELEC: ÉCOLE D'INGÉNIEURS-ES GÉNÉRALISTES. Rudi'seducation journey continued until 1991 when they concluded their studies in PLT90 from ENAC - Ecole Nationale de l'Aviation Civile.
