Brian King

Brian King has extensive work experience in the field of quality assurance and software testing. Brian started their career at VMC in 2008 as a Quality Assurance Tester and worked there until 2012. Brian then joined Warner Bros. Entertainment Group of Companies as a QA Compliance Specialist for a year. In 2013, they joined WB Games Montreal Inc. as a QA Senior Process Technician, where they were responsible for analyzing KPIs and implementing process improvements. In 2015, they transitioned into the role of Senior Quality Assurance Analyst: Business Intelligence at WB Games Montreal Inc., where they tested, reported on, and analyzed the business intelligence hooks of various titles using SQL. Brian also held the position of QA Specialist at CM Labs Simulations Inc. from 2015 to 2017, where they created and executed acceptance tests for simulated heavy machinery using Python pytest. From 2017 to 2021, Brian worked at Broadsign as a QA Analyst, ensuring product requirements were met and creating tests for evidence of functionality. Brian then transitioned to the role of Software Engineer In Test at Broadsign, where they helped build and maintain a custom testing framework. Most recently, in 2023, Brian joined Vistar Media as a Senior QA Engineer.

Brian King completed their Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in English Language and Literature at Concordia University from 2008 to 2011. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature from York University, which they completed from 2000 to 2005.

In terms of additional certifications, Brian obtained several certifications related to data analysis and programming. In 2016, they obtained certifications such as "Data Science and Analytics Career Paths and Certifications," "AWK Essential Training," "Learn the Linux Command Line: The Basics," "Up and Running with Public Data Sets," "Become a Python Developer," "Becoming a Web Developer: Full Stack vs Front End," "Code Clinic: Python," "Python 3 Essential Training," "Python GUI Development with Tkinter," and "Up and Running with Git and GitHub." In 2015, they obtained certifications such as "Code Clinic: R," "Excel 2010: Pivot Tables in Depth," and "Introduction to Data Analysis with Python."
