Cynthia Vodopivec

Senior Vice President, Environmental, Health & Safety at Vistra

Cynthia Vodopivec has over 25 years of experience in the environmental, health, and safety field. Cynthia currently serves as the Senior Vice President of Environmental, Health & Safety at Vistra Corp., a position they have held since December 2020. Prior to this, they were the Vice President of Environmental Health and Safety at Vistra Corp. from April 2018 to December 2020.

Before joining Vistra Corp., Cynthia worked at Dynegy, where they served as the Vice President of Safety & Environmental from October 2016 to April 2018. Cynthia was also the Managing Director of Environmental - Gas Co at Dynegy from April 2015 to October 2016.

From November 2010 to March 2015, Cynthia worked at Equipower Resources, an Energy Capital Partners Company, as the Managing Director of Safety, Security, Health and Environment. In this role, they managed corporate EHS functions for 12 power generation facilities across 4 U.S. power markets.

Cynthia's earlier experience includes working as a Regional Environmental Manager at GDF Suez North America/FirstLight Power Resources from January 2009 to October 2010, and as an Environmental Health & Safety Manager at FirstLight Power Resources from December 2006 to January 2009.

Cynthia began their career as a Project Manager at ERM in March 1999 and worked there until November 2006. Prior to that, they served as an Environmental Intern at TRC Companies, Inc. from May 1995 to November 1998.

Cynthia Vodopivec holds an A.B. degree in Engineering from Dartmouth College. Cynthia also earned an MBA in Business from Rensselaer at Work in 2009. Additionally, they have a B.E. degree in Environmental Engineering from the Thayer School of Engineering at Dartmouth College. Cynthia Vodopivec is also a certified Professional Environmental Engineer in the State of Connecticut.
