Phil Irish

Phil Irish is an established artist with extensive experience in contemporary painting, having developed, created, and exhibited work since May 1995 at Visual Art. Currently an Assistant Professor in the Art Department at Redeemer University, Phil teaches courses in Painting, Drawing, Design, and Illustration. As an Artist Representative for Gamblin Artists Colors since September 2010, Phil offers insightful lectures and demonstrations on color and oil painting materials. Additional teaching experience includes a role as a sessional instructor in Experimental Drawing at the University of Waterloo and curating exhibitions at the Minarovich Gallery, where community connections to cultural creativity were emphasized. Phil holds a Master of Fine Arts degree from York University (2012) and a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Art from the University of Guelph (1995).
