Dr. Meenal Surawar

Dr. Meenal Surawar is an accomplished academic and professional in the field of architecture and urban planning. Currently serving as an Assistant Professor at Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology, Nagpur since June 2016, Dr. Surawar has a robust background that includes recognition as Grand Winners at Solar Decathlon India in August 2022 and being a Division Finalist in the previous year. Dr. Surawar's earlier roles include Associate Professor at Priyadarshini Institute of Architecture and Design Studies and a Research Scholar at VNIT Nagpur, focusing on the Urban Heat Island Effect in Indian cities, specifically Nagpur. With extensive experience as an architect in various roles from Associate Architect to Private Architect, Dr. Surawar has a strong educational foundation, holding a PhD and an M-Tech in Urban Planning from VNIT, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Architecture from VRCE, Nagpur.
